Scaling Bio-Based Industries from Feedstock to Commercial Deployment
Biomass Supply Chain Consulting Inc. is a strategic advisory firm specializing in industrial decarbonization, biomanufacturing commercialization, and biomass supply chain development. We help technology developers, investors, industrial operators, and government organizations de-risk and scale low-carbon projects through integrated expertise in feedstock strategy, techno-economic analysis, carbon intensity modeling, facility deployment, and operational scale-up. With experience spanning first-of-kind industrial systems, advanced biomass processing technologies, and bio-based product commercialization, we bridge the gap between innovation and market-ready execution to support the transition toward a circular, low-carbon economy.
Biomass Supply Chain Consulting Inc. was established by Dr. Mahmood Ebadian in 2013. Dr. Ebadian is a senior biomanufacturing executive with over 13 years of experience advising developers of biomass processing and bioconversion technologies and leading the development and deployment of first-of-a-kind industrial systems. He has directed the end-to-end development of integrated biomanufacturing operations, spanning feedstock availability and quality assessment, technology validation, product definition, facility design, and full-scale execution. He has a proven track record of delivering complex biomanufacturing projects, including the development and commissioning of North America’s first flax straw processing facility serving the biomaterials, bioenergy, and animal care markets. Dr. Ebadian has secured more than $10 million in government and industry funding and has led R&D and commercialization initiatives focused on scalable biomass processing technologies. With deep expertise in supply chains, process engineering, and carbon and techno-economic modeling, he enables investment-grade decision-making and helps de-risk commercialization pathways for emerging technologies. He is recognized for operating at the intersection of technology, operations, and finance, consistently translating complex innovations into commercially viable, scalable, and market-ready businesses.
